The cluster structure of liquid metals and slag systems is thermodynamically described at the electronic level of unit elements. A model developed on this basis is used to study the dependence of the nitrogen solubility in steel and to calculate the dynamic viscosity and electrical conductivity of manganese ferroalloy systems.
